Thiruvananthapuram:
All
is
not
well
with
the
much-hyped
Malayalam
movie
of
the
year
2013,
Samrajyam
2:
Son
of
Alexander,
which
is
a
sequel
to
the
Mammootty
blockbuster
Samrajyam.
The
film
has
landed
in
the
trouble
after
its
scriptwriter
Muhammad
Shafique
Kunnungal
aka
MSK
alleged
that
he
has
written
the
story
and
screenplay
for
it,
but
the
makers
of
the
flick
have
denied
him
the
credit
for
his
efforts.
Scriptwriter
Muhammad
Shafique
Kunnungal
held
a
press
conference
on
Friday
to
hurl
his
anger
against
the
director
and
producers
of
the
film
Samrajyam
2:
Son
of
Alexander.
He
claimed
that
during
the
announcement
of
the
movie
in
June
2013,
producers
Ajmal
Hassan
and
Byju
Adithyan
had
introduced
him
as
the
scriptwriter
to
the
media.
But
with
the
completion
of
the
film,
they
have
credited
the
story
and
screenplay
to
director
Perarasu.
MSK
adds,
"This
is
unethical!"
Muhammad
Shafique
Kunnungal
said
that
he
has
handed
over
the
script
to
director
Perarasu
and
he
was
present
at
the
shooting
sites
including
the
final
one
in
Dubai
to
clear
any
doubts.
But
at
the
later
stage,
he
was
shocked
to
read
the
media
reports
that
credited
the
story
and
script
to
Perarasu.
MSK
called
up
producer
Ajmal,
who
apparently
did
not
heed
his
plea.
Now,
he
has
approached
FEFKA,
the
union
of
film
technicians,
who
have
promised
to
get
him
justice.
Samrajyam
II:
Son
of
Alexander
is
gangster
film,
which
has
been
directed
by
Perarasu.
Unni
Mukundan
will
play
the
lead
role
of
Jordan,
the
son
of
Alexander
who
was
the
protagonist
in
the
prequel.
Ashi
will
play
the
female
lead
making
her
debut
in
Malayalam.
This
movie,
which
has
been
made
with
a
budget
of
Rs
35
crores,
will
be
one
of
the
most
expensive
films
ever
made
in
Malayalam.
