Simran Disappoints Mohanlal!

Mohanlal, who was in search for his wife, finally lands in disappointment! His upcoming movie My Family, directed by Jeethu Joseph, was on a hunt for a heroine to play the role of Mohanlal's wife. It was reported that Simran will be playing the role, but now the director confirms that she will not be a part of My Family.

Jeethu Joseph said that he had approached Simran with the script. The actress liked the script and wanted to be a part of the project. But unfortunately, she had date clashes as she is currently engaged with some TV shows.

Priyamani was the first choice of the director. Mohanlal and Priyamani had earlier worked together in Grandmaster. They played husband and wife in the movie. Priyamani was seen as a mother of a daughter in that movie. But even she had date clashes.

It has been reported that Jeethu Jospeh approached many actresses, but none of them showed interest to play the role. According to the director, the heroine has to play the wife of Mohanlal as well as the mother of two daughters. All were ready to play the wife, but none were ready to play the mother of two daughters.

Currently, Mohanlal is busy with the shooting of his Geetanjali. Jagathy Sreekumar, who met with an accident and was undergoing bed rest, visited the sets of the movie. Keerthi Menaka, daughter of yesteryear actress Menaka Suresh, is making her debut in Geetanjali. She plays dual roles in the film.

Jeethu Joseph is busy with his Memories. The movie which stars Prithviraj and Meghna Raj in lead roles, is getting released this week as a Ramzan treat.
