Sunil Shetty playing cameo role in Blessy’s Kalimannu

Thiruvananthapuram: Director Blessy's Kalimannu has made it to the headlines for both right and wrong reasons in the past. The latest news about the film is that Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty will play a cameo role in it. The director of the movie himself has confirmed the news. But he declined to reveal more details of his character.

Sunil Shetty made his Mollywood debut with Priyadarshan's movie Kakkakuyil starring Mohanlal in lead. In a recent interview, he had expressed his wish to act in another Malayalam movie. In a statement to a leading English daily, Blessy has confirmed his presence in Kalimannu. "Sunil will be doing a guest appearance in the movie and the shoot is scheduled for next month in Kerala," TOI quotes him as saying.

Kalimannu is a family drama, which has been written by Blessy. The story of the film came into his mind during a trip to Dubai after completing Pranayam. The movie unfolds the relationship between a mother and her baby in the womb. Its filming began even before the completion of scripting and casting. In order to cover various stages of pregnancy, the film was shot throughout Swetha's pregnancy. Her delivery was shot live on camera for the film at a private hospital in Mumbai where she was admitted.
