The
much-hyped
Malayalam
movie
Vedivazhipadu,
which
was
earlier
slated
to
get
a
November
release,
has
landed
in
trouble
after
the
Censor
Board
rejected
the
movie
for
censorship.
According
to
the
board,
the
movie
has
elements
which
may
hurt
the
religious
feelings
of
people.
The
movie
was
all
decided
to
get
released
next
week.
Now,
this
decision
by
the
board
has
put
the
movie
into
a
great
trouble.
Earlier,
Blessy
directed
movie
Kalimannu
had
faced
a
similar
situation
before
getting
censored.
But,
after
watching
the
film,
the
board
granted
them
the
certificate
claiming
that
the
movie
is
watchable
for
people
above
the
age
of
12.
Pappilo
Buddha
too
faced
a
similar
crisis.
Vedivazhipadu
tells
the
story
that
happens
in
the
city
of
Thiruvananthapuram
in
24
hours,
from
3
pm
to
3
pm
(next
day).
The
story
is
being
told
in
the
backdrop
of
the
famous
Aattukal
Pongala.
The
director
has
used
a
simple,
straight
forward
and
linear
narrative
as
he
thinks
that
an
interesting
incident
can
make
a
good
film.
Another
highlight
of
the
movie
is
that,
Vedivazhipadu
has
no
songs
in
it.
The
movie
is
directed
by
Shambhu
Purushothaman.
Indrajith,
Murali
Gopy,
Mythili
and
Anusree
play
lead
roles
in
this
movie.
