Aashiq Abu and Jude Anthany Joseph, the young directors of Mollywood jointly inaugurated the Pokkali harvest festival, conducted by the NGO Greenleaves, at Pizhala Island in Kochi. The directors joined the farmers for the harvest and actively participated in the festival, along with the students from the Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Ernakulam.
Aashiq Abu and Jude Anthany Joseph has earlier made posts regarding the harvest festival, in their official Facebook pages. The directors, who shows deep interests in social cause, has always been active with the important events happening in their surroundings.
Earlier, Aashiq Abu and friends has provided their support for the “Standing Strike” conducted by the Tribal communities of Kerala. This director also expressed his deep disappointment on a famous Malayalam daily, for publishing a cartoon, mocking the celebrities who participated in the strike. Aashiq Abu requested the daily to remove mentally challenged people from the team; which led to a dispute between the director and the newspaper.
Aashiq Abu is currently busy with the pre-production works of his next production venture Maheshinte Prathikaram, directed by Dileesh Pothan. The director also plans for a Hindi remake of his recent release Idukki Gold. Jude Anthany Joseph, who made his directorial debut with Om Shanti Oshana, is reportedly scripting for his next directorial venture.
