reports,
Tamil
actor
Arya
will
replace
Fahad
Fazil
in
the
upcoming
movie
Double
Barrel,
directed
by
Lijo
Jose
Pellissery.
The
movie
was
actually
planned
with
Prithviraj,
Fahad
Fazil
and
Indrajith
in
the
lead
roles;
but
reportedly,
Fahad
Fazil
has
walked
out
of
the
project
due
to
unknown
reasons.
Arya,
who
is
of
Malayali
descent,
is
one
of
the
most
established
lead
actors
of
Tamil
movie
industry.
He
debuted
in
Malayalam
with
Santhosh
Sivan
directed
Urumi,
in
dual
roles.
Urumi
was
produced
by
Prithviraj,
Santhosh
Sivan
and
Shaji
Nadesan
under
the
banner
August
Cinema.
Interestingly,
Arya's
voice
in
Urumi
was
dubbed
by
the
lead
actor
Prithviraj.
Arya
was
also
approached
for
a
pivotal
role
in
Prithviraj
starrer
Mumbai
Police,
directed
by
Roshan
Andrews;
but
actor
turned
down
the
offer
due
to
other
movie
commitments.
Later
the
role
went
to
Jayasurya.
Arya
has
always
expressed
his
keen
interest
in
doing
Malayalam
films;
but
considers
his
lack
of
fluency
in
the
language
as
a
barrier.
Double
Barrel
is
one
of
the
most
prestigious
projects
of
2014.
The
movie
will
have
Asif
Ali
and
Sunny
Wayne
in
extended
cameo
roles.
Swathi
Reddy,
Rachana
Narayanakutti
and
Isha
Sherwani
plays
the
female
leads
in
the
movie.
Double
Barrel
is
produced
by
the
August
Cinema
and
is
slated
to
release
for
Christmas.
