Asif Ali To Pair Up With Pearle Maaney In Doubel Barrel

Asif Ali will pair up with actress-VJ Pearle Maaney, in the much anticipated upcoming movie Double Barrel, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. Reportedly, both the actors will be essaying the characters with a comic flavour. Double Barrel stars Prithviraj, Indrajith, Tamil actor Arya, Asif Ali and Sunny Wayne, in the lead roles.

Asif Ali, who played a series of serious roles in his back-to-back projects, including Apothecary and Sapthamashree Thaskaraha, has recently revealed that he will be doing some romantic and comic roles in his upcoming movies. Pearle Maaney, who recently replaced Jewel Mary as the host of popular dance reality show D4 Dance, is a familiar face for the audience with her acts in Neelakasham Pachakkadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, in which she played a bike rider and Last Supper.

Earlier, it was rumoured that Asif Ali and Sunny Wayne will be appearing in cameo roles in the movie; but according to the latest reports, both the actors are playing full fledged characters. Fahadh Faasil was also included in the cast; but later the actor backed out from the project and Tamil actor Arya replaced him.

Double Barrel, is reportedly a light-hearted romantic comedy, set in the backdrop of Goa. Swathi Reddy, Parvathi Menon and Isha Sherwani plays the other female leads in the movie. Vijay Babu, Chemban Vinod Jose and Sajid Yahiya will essay the other pivotal roles. The movie is produced by Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan Shaji Nadesan and Lijo Jose Pellissery, under the banners August Cinema and Amen Movie Monastery.
