By Akhila Menon

Asif Ali is all set to share screen space with Jayaram in the upcoming movie Mailanji Monjulla Veedu, directed by new comer Benny Joseph. The movie, which is said to be family drama is set in the backdrop of the Malabar muslim families.

Asif Ali had appeared in an extended-cameo role in Jayaram starred Kadha Thudarunnu, directed by Sathyan Anthikad. But the actors didn't have combinations scenes in that movie. In that context, Asif is sharing screen with Jayaram for the first time in his career.

Jayaram, who is going through a low phase of his career has decided to be choosy about the roles he play. The actor is joining hands with veteran director Sibi Malayil after a long gap of 9 years in the upcoming movie, Njangalude Veettile Athidhikal. Young actor Narain will also play a pivotal role in the film. Priya Mani plays the female lead opposite Jayaram in the movie.

Asif Ali's Eid release Hi I'm Tony is reportedly an average grosser. The actor is getting ready to release his upcoming flicks Sapthamasree Thaskara, co-starring Prithviraj and medical-drama Apothecary, co-starring Suresh Gopi and Jayasurya.

Mailanji Monjulla Veedu is penned by the scenarist duo, Udaya Krishna- Sibi K Thomas. Reportedly actress Bhavana is considered to play the female lead. The movie is produced by Haneef Mohammed under the banner Red Rose Creations.
