The
Malayalam
industry
as
a
whole
is
now
on
clod
nine
after
Suraj
Venjaramoodu
got
his
first
National
Award
for
Best
Actor.
Though
it
is
a
proud
moment
for
the
industry,
it
might
be
a
quite
disappointment
for
some
other
actors
in
the
industry
as
they
had
rejected
playing
the
same
role
when
it
was
offered
to
them!
Yes,
if
reports
are
to
be
believed,
Dr
Biju,
director
of
Perariyathavar
had
first
approached
Dileep
to
play
the
role
in
the
film.
He
had
agreed
to
do
the
film
then.
Then
it
was
the
worst
moment
for
Biju
as
he
had
to
keep
on
disturbing
Dileep
to
start
the
shooting
of
the
film.
Dileep,
who
was
too
busy
then,kept
on
postponing
the
shoot
of
the
film
for
various
reasons.
Dr
Biju
claims
that
Dileep
delayed
the
film
till
one
and
a
half
years
when
finally
he
said
that
he
wont
be
able
to
do
the
movie.
It
was
more
like
a
shock
to
Biju
when
Dileep
suddenly
quit
the
film.
Then,
he
approached
Jayaram.
But,
he
had
already
committed
Kamal's
Nadan
by
then
and
could
not
commit
to
this
film.
It
is
reported
that
Biju
even
approached
Jayasurya
but,
the
actor
too
was
too
busy
to
commit
this
movie.
Finally,
Dr
Biju
approached
Suraj
Venjaramoodu
and
he
readily
agredd
to
do
the
film.
Biju
says
that
he
was
indeed
very
surprised
to
see
Suraj's
acting.
One
of
the
National
Award
jury
commented
that
Suraj's
acting
reminded
him
of
Mohanlal!
Now,
Perariyathavar
has
created
a
history
in
Malayalam
cinema
once
again
and
it
is
indeed
a
great
loss
for
some
actors
who
unfortunately
could
not
become
a
part
of
this
flick!
