Fahad Fazil To Join Hands With Dileesh Pothan And Aashiq Abu

Fahad Fazil will play the lead role in Dileesh Pothan's directorial debut Maheshinte Prathikaaram, produced by Aashiq Abu, under his home production banner OPM Media Mill. The news was revealed by Aashiq Abu himself in his Facebook page. Fahd fazil will play the title character Mahesh, a small town still photographer, in the movie.

Dileesh Pothan is famous for his role of the flirtatious movie director who chases Shwetha Menon's character Maya, in the blockbuster movie Salt N Pepper. He has also acted in Aashiq Abu's directorial venture Gangster, starring Mammootty. He has worked as an assistant director with Aashiq Abu in some of his directorial ventures.

Maheshinte Prathikaaram, which is said to be a comedy-thriller, will go on floors by December. The script is penned by Shyam Pushkaran, who has co-written Aashiq Abu's directorial ventures Salt N Pepper, 22 Female Kottayam, Da Thadiya and Idukki Gold. Shyju Khalid will handle the cinematography and Bijibal will compose the music.

Fahad Fazil has already worked with Aashiq Abu in the acclaimed movie 22 Female Kottayam. The actor earned rave reviews and Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his performance as the ruthless pimp Cyril Mathew, who falls in love with his prey. The actor is currently filming for the upcoming movies Money Ratnam, directed by Santhosh Nair and Double Barrel directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery. Fahad will exchange marriage vows with actress Nazriya Nazim on August 21^st.
