Lal plays Iyob; while Fahadh Faasil, Jinu Joseph and Chemban Vinod Jose plays Aloshy, Ivan and Dimitri respectively. Isha Sherwani plays Aloshy's lady love Martha and Padmapriya plays Dimitri's seductive wife Rahel- a character with negative shades. Jayasurya plays the antagonist Angoor Ravuther. Vinayakan and TG Ravi plays the other pivotal roles.

The reviews states that Iyobinte Pusthakam can be unquestionably termed as the best film of Amal Neerad. Lead actor cum co-producer Fahadh Faasil is receiving special appreciations for choosing to make his production debut with such a brave movie attempt. The movie has been well-praised by the social networking sites and media; for its technical excellence and brilliant narrative style.

Audience points out that the perfect cinematography turns the movie into a complete visual treat; thus concealing the weakness of the not-so-strong script. The songs and the background score by Neha Nair and Yakzan Gary Pereira is considered as another boost factor of the movie, which is narrated in a vintage style. In short, Iyobinte Pusthakam becomes a head-turner with its extra-ordinary visualization.
