Jayasurya and Bhama will play the lead roles in Akku Akbar directed Mathai Kuzhappakkaranalla. The movie, which is also penned by the director, is said to be a romantic-comedy, which portrays the problems in the life of a young couple.

Akku Akbar earned huge critical acclaim for his directorial venture, Veruthe Oru Bharya. But his last few directorial ventures such as Vellaripravinte Changathi, Bharya Athra Pora and Ulsaha Committiee not only failed at the box office, but also earned negative reviews from audience and critics.

Jayasurya and Bhama have paired up in successful movies such as Ivar Vivahitharayal, Husbands In Goa and Janapriyan. The duo is known for the good on-screen chemistry between them.

Jayasurya is all set for the release of his upcoming project Apothecary, which also stars Suresh Gopi and Asif Ali in lead roles. He will be next seen in Midhun Manuel directed Aadu Oru Bheekarajeevi Aanu and Priyadarshan directed Aamayum Muyalum. Bhama is also busy with her upcoming releases such as 100 Degree Celcius and Ottamandaram.

Mathai Kuzhappakkaranalla will also star Mukesh, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and yesteryear actress Kuyili in pivotal roles. The film, which will be shot entirely at Ernakulam, will go on floor by next month.
