Jayasurya To Team Up With Sibi Malayil

Jayasurya will play the lead role in Sibi Malayil’s upcoming movie. The actor is teaming up with the veteran director, for the first time in his career. The movie, which is penned by popular scenarist T A Rasaq, is said to be a complete family entertainer. The female lead and rest of the cast are yet to be revealed.

Sibi Malayil made a comeback after a short break, with recently released movie Njangalude Veettile Athidhikal, which had Jayaram and Priya Mani in lead roles. The movie, which portrayed the troubled relationship of a married couple, earned highly negative reviews and failed to do well in the box office.

Sibi Malayil, who is considered as one of the most promising directors of Malayalam cinema, has directed some iconic movies including Thaniyavarthanam, Kireedam, Bharatham etc. The director is currently going through a down phase of his career with consecutive flops and has also been receiving criticism for the repetitive themes of his movies.

Jayasurya, who proved his mettle with versatile roles, is receiving highly positive reviews for his performances in recently released movies Apothecary and Iyobinte Pusthakam. The actor is currently filming for Aadu Oru Bhaagarajeeviyanu, directed by Midhun Manel Thomas. His upcoming movie Mathai Kuzhappakkaranalla is all set to hit the theatres by next month.
