Know What Your Stars Did Before They Came Into Limelight!
It is indeed a proud fact that all Mollywood stars are well-educated. But, there are exceptions. Most of the Malayalam actors who are ruling the industry at present are well-educated and a few from the old generations are lagging in terms of their educational qualification.
For most of the actors, acting was more a passion which they wanted to grab in their life. Some came into the industry directly, even without looking out for another choice, whereas there are some actors who came into limelight after trying their luck in their qualified trade. But, knowing the fact that they have more crave for movies and acting, they left their first job and entered movies.
There are a few exceptions too. Mohanlal, who is a graduate had a passion for acting and entered the industry after his graduation and is now one of the most renowed actors in the world. He has been awarded D Litt by universities for his contribution in art. Prithviraj and Indrajith, though engineers, came into industry soon after their course ended. There are many less educated actors too in the industry.

Mammootty
Mammootty is an advocate by profession and he was practising too. But, he showed no interest in his job and always wanted to become an actor. He left his job and entered into movies. It is a real coincidence that the actor has had performed well as an advocate in many of his movies too!
Jayaram
Jayaram too had a great passion for acting and always loved to imitate people. He was a mimicry artist at Kalabhavan in his early days of career and later this job paved him an entry ticket to Malayalam film industry.
Asif Ali
Asif Ali hails from a traditional Muslim family, which has a political background. His family wanted him to movie on with the same field but, Asif was interested more in acting and modelling. He was working as a model before he came into the industry.
Bheeman Raghu
Bheeman Raghu has mostly played villainous roles and also that of a police officer in his movies. The actor was a police officer in real life too before coming into the industry.
Dileep
Dileep was a mimicry artist as Kalabhavan before coming into the industry. This gave him a break and he entered into movies as an asisitant director. Later, he jumped into acting and now he is also a producer.
Jayan (Late)
This unfortunate actor, who was one of the most promising actor of his times, was an officer at the Indian Navy. Later, he became an actor.
Jagadeesh
Jagadeesh was a very studious guy during his college days and was even the rank holder for his post graduation at the university level. He started off his career as a lecturer and later landed up in the film industry as a comedian.
Nivin Pauly
The young romantic hero Nivin Pauly is an Engineering graduate and was working as a Software Engineer at Infosys in Bangalore. He resigned his job for acting.
Aju Varghese
Aju Varghese is yet another actor, who is on a high in the industry these days. Aju was working as the HR for HSBC Ltd in Chennai, before he made his career as an actor.
Nyla Usha
One of the most sought after actress in Malayalam film in the pesent scenario is none other than Nyla Usha. She is a married woman and has a child of four years.
She stays with her family in Dubai and was working as a RJ for a radio station there before coming into movies. She still does that job.
