Lal Jr To Direct Mammootty

Lal Jr, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Hi I'm Tony, is all set to direct Mammootty in his next. The news was revealed by his father, actor-director Lal, in a recent interview.

Mammootty is famous for his fondness for the young generation film makers. The actor played the lead role in the debut movies of the promising young directors Anwar Rasheed, Amal Neerad, Aashiq Abu, Vaishakh and Marthandan.

Lal Jr made his directorial debut with the romantic-comedy Honey Bee, which went on to become a box office hit. His second venture Hi I'm Tony, is expected to hit the theatres soon. He has also directed two short film; State award winning short film Debt and Vekkada Vedi. He is a graduate from New York Film Academy.

Lal will also play an important role in the Mammootty starrer. The rest of the star cast and further details will be revealed soon.

Hi I'm Tony is a psychological thriller film, in which Lal plays the title character Tony. Asif Ali and Miya George, Biju Menon and Lena are playing other pivotal roles in the film. Alby handles the cinematography and Deepak Dev handles the music score. The movie is slated to get released on 26th July.
