Lena Ventures Into Direction

Lena, the talented actress, who proved her acting skills with a bunch of meaty roles, is all set to make her debut in direction. Lena herself revealed the news in a recent interview. The actress stated that she will make her directorial debut after completing the committed projects. Actor-scenarist Murali Gopy is currently working on a script for Lena's debut movie.

Lena has earlier worked with Murali Gopy in the films Ee Adutha Kaalathu and Left Right Left. Her performance in Left Right Left was well received and she won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Supporting Actress, for her performance in the movie.

Lena made her acting debut with Jayaraj directed Sneham. She rose to fame with Randam Bhavam, directed by Lal Jose and the television soap opera, Omanathinkal Pakshi, which was aired in Asianet. She got a major breakthrough in her career with Rajesh Pillai directed Traffic, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting actress.

Lena later played some vital roles in the acclaimed movies Spirit, Usthad Hotel, Ayaal and Vikramadithyan. Her latest release Vellimoonga is running successfully at the box office. Lena will play a pivotal role in the upcoming movie Iyobinte Pusthakam, directed by Amal Neerad. The actress will make her Tamil movie debut with Dhanush starrer Anegan, directed by K V Anand.
