Mammootty
will
play
the
lead
role
in
director
Siddique's
next
directorial
venture,
titled
Rascals.
The
duo,
who
has
earlier
worked
together
for
the
superhit
movies,
Hitler
and
Chronic
Bachelor,
is
joining
hands
after
a
long
gap
of
10
years.
Rascals,
is
reportedly
penned
by
Siddique
himself
and
is
produced
by
Mammootty
under
his
banner
Playhouse
Motion
Pictures.
The
rest
of
the
cast
and
crew
is
yet
to
be
decided.
The
movie
will
go
on
floors
by
December
this
year
and
is
slated
to
release
for
Vishu
2015.
Earlier
it
was
rumoured
that
Mammootty
and
Siddique
will
join
hands
for
the
sequel
of
Hitler;
but
both
the
actor
and
director
denied
the
rumours
by
stating
that
they
are
not
interested
in
making
sequels.
Later,
Siddique
announced
that
his
next
project
will
have
Mammootty
in
the
lead
role
and
the
scripting
is
in
the

Mammootty-Siddique
duo's
Hitler
and
Chronic
Bachelor
were
blockbusters,
which
earned
excellent
reviews
from
both
audience
and
critics.
Siddique
later
directed
Body
Guard,
with
Dileep
in
the
lead.
The
movie
went
on
to
become
a
superhit
and
later
got
remade
into
all
other
South
Indian
languages
and
Hindi.
His
last
release
Ladies
And
Gentleman
with
Mohanlal
in

earned
negative
reviews
and
bombed
at
the
box
office.
