Mammootty's Balyakalasakhi Releasing On Feb 7, Trailer Out!

The much awaited Malayalam movie Balyakalasakhi is all set to get released on 7th February (Friday). The trailer of the film got released yesterday and it is getting rave reviews. Starring Mammootty in the lead, the movie has Isha Talwar playing the female lead.

Balyakalasakhi, as we all know, is truely based on the novel which also bears the same title, written by the late Vaikom Muhammed Basheer. It is amnily a love story between two people - Majeed and Suhara, played by Mammootty and Isha Talwar.

Balyakalasakhi is said in the backdrop of the freedom struggle in India. Some scenes are taken in Kolkatta too. Mammootty gets five different looks in Balyakalasakhi.

Like in Paleri Maanikyam, Mammootty plays the father and the son in this too. Meena plays the mother to Majeed in the film. The movie also cast Mammookkoya, KPAC Lalitha, Kavitha Nair, Sasi Kumar, Bengali actor Parambrath Chatterjee, who rose to fame with his role in the Hindi movie Kahaani, and many others are seen in this film.

Balyakalasakhi is also shot in a specially made set at Perumbalam Island, Vaikom. Some scenes are also shot in Kolkata. The movie is directed by Pramod Payyannur.
