Mammootty To Go Green For 'Varsham'

According to the latest reports, Mammootty has decided to go green for his upcoming movie Varsham. The actor, who also produces the movie under his home production Playhouse, announced that plastic and flux won't be used in the promotions of Varsham, in the trailer and audio release function of the movie. Varsham is directed by Ranjith Sankar.

Mammootty is highly active in the social causes these days and has been promoting the various campaigns of Kerala Government, including Clean Campus Safe Campus and Addicted To Life. The actor also initiated My Tree Challenge and motivated the celebrities and public to plant trees. Mammootty also made a mark by using organic farming methods in his paddy field.

Mammootty To Go Green For 'Varsham'

Varsham trailer and audio release function was held on October 11 with the live streaming facility for the audience, to watch the function live through Mammootty's official website. The trailer has already become highly popular and has earned rave reviews; thus making the expectations high on the movie. Mammootty plays Venu, an NRI who comes back to his hometown to settle with his family. Asha Sarath plays the female lead opposite Mammootty in the movie.

Mamta Mohandas will appear in a pivotal role. Govind Padmasurya, T G Ravi, Irshad, Sudheer Karaman, Hareesh Perady, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Nabeesh, Sajitha Madathil, Sarayu, Anjana and Sreelatha Namboothiri will play the supporting roles. Manoj Pillai handles the cinematography and Bijibal composes the music. The movie is slated to release on November 6th.
