Meghna Raj To Star In Avalude Ravukal Remake?

Avalude Ravukal is one of the most popular erotic classics of Malayalam cinema. The reports about the remake of the movie has been doing rounds since last few years. If the reports are to be true, Meghna Raj will be playing the central character Raji, in the remake of Avalude Ravukal.

So many actresses were rumoured to be reprising the central character played by veteran actress Seema in the original. The latest addition to the list is Meghna Raj. As per the reports, the actress has shown her willingness to play the lead role in the controversial project.

Earlier, Priya Mani and Sanusha was rumoured to be playing the lead role; but both actresses bitterly denied the reports. Sanusha even went on to proclaim that she will never act in such movies, which demands skin show. Later, the project was reported to be shelved.

Avalude Ravukal is the first movie to bag an 'A' certificate in Mollywood. The movie, which revolves around a young prostitute Raji and three men who enters her life, was penned by Alleppey Sherif. The original version was directed by I V Sasi. The remake version will be directed by Suresh Kannan and produced by Liberty Basheer.
