Mohanlal
and
Prithviraj
will
play
the
central
characters
in
director
Priyadarshan's
upcoming
political
thriller.
The
director
himself
revealed
the
news
while
speaking
to
the
media.
The
movie
will
be
penned
by
Priyadarshan
himself.
The
director,
who
has
earlier
directed
some
outstanding
political
thrillers
like
Adwaitham
and
Aryan,
which
had
Mohanlal
in
the
lead
role,
considers
the
upcoming
project
as
a
real
challenge.
Prithviraj,
the
young
actor
who
has
already
worked
with
almost
all
veteran
directors
of
the
film
industry,
is
joining
hands
with
Priyadarshan,
for
the
first
time
in
his
career.
Expectations
are
riding
high
on
the
project
as
it
will
mark
the
first
collaboration
of
Mohanlal
and
Prithviraj.
Earlier,
director
Lal
Jose
had
planned
a
project
with
Mohanlal
and
Prithviraj
in
the
lead
roles,
which
was
titled
as
Cousins.
But
later,
the
project
shelved
due
to
unknown
reasons
and
director
Vysakh
made
a
movie
in
the
same
title.
The
last
two
releases
of
Priyadarshan,
Geethanjali
which
was
an
unofficial
remake
of
Thai
movie
Alone and
Aamayum
Muyalum,
which
was
adapted
from
his
own
Bollywood
production
Malamaal
Weekly,
were
huge
critical
and
commercial
failures.
The
director
who
is
infamous
for
adapting
themes
from
other
language
movies,
is
all
set
to
bounce
back
from
the
low
phase
of
his
career,
with
the
upcoming
Mohanlal-Prithviraj
starrer.
