Mohanlal As 'Superstar Mohanlal' In Rasam!

Rasam is an upcoming Malayalam movie. This is a movie which is completely shot in the Gulf, except a few shots which are to be canned in Kerala. As we all are aware, Mohanlal and Indrajith play the lead roles in this movie. Now, reports claim that Mohanlal will be essaying the role of himself as Superstar Mohanlal - the actor, in the movie.

RJ Menon is a well-settled businessman in Dubai. He has only one daughter Janaki. He wishes to conduct the wedding of his only daughter in a traditional, Kerala style and do not wish to compromise anything that will ruin the traditional values that he follows.

One among the wishes was that, Menon wanted the wedding feast also to be in Kerala style. He also was so particular that the feast should be made by the famous dehannakaran Unnikrishnan Namboothiri. He made arrangements of bringing Unnikrishnan to Dubai for the wedding. He is helped by none other than his close friend and film star Mohanlal. This is a portion of the movie Rasam which has already begun its shooting in Doha and Dubai.

Devan is essaying the role of RJ Menon in the film and the role of Namboothiri is essayed by Nedumudi Venu. Indrajith plays the role of Nedumudi's son, who comes to the Gulf representing his father.

Varuna Shetty and Mythili play the female leads in Rasam. Sudheesh Dubai has written the story of the movie and Krish Kaimal has wielded the camera for Rasam, directed by Rajeev Nath.
