Mohanlal To Star In Venu's Next Movie?

Mohanlal, has reportedly signed cinematographer-director Venu's next project. If the rumours are to be true, Mohanlal will play the central character in Venu's next directorial venture; but the news is not confirmed yet. Mohanlal, is currently filming for Joshiy directed Lailaa O Lailaa and will join the sets of Sathyan Anthikad's untitled movie soon.

Mohanlal is facing controversies regarding a dialogue he delivers in the recently released movie, Peruchazhi. National Award winning director Dr Biju criticized Mohanlal through his Facebook page and alleged that the actor always shows some special interest towards higher castes. Mohanlal hasn't commented on the issue yet.

Venu, who is an acclaimed cinematographer, made a comeback into direction after a long gap of 15 years, with the Mammootty starrer Munnariyippu. The movie went on to become a commercial and critical success and is considered as one of the best thrillers of Mollywood.

Venu debuted as an independent cinematographer with the movie Kaliyil Alpam Karyam. He made his directorial debut with Daya, written by M T Vasudevan Nair. He has worked Mammootty and Mohanlal in so many movies and maintains a very close friendship with both the stars. Venu recently revealed that he is very much passionate about direction and will direct his next movie soon.
