Nyla Usha To Replace Andrea Jeremiah

Nyla Usha will replace singer-actress Andrea Jeremiah as the female lead, in the upcoming Mammootty starrer Fireman, directed by Deepu Karunakaran. Interestingly, Nyla Usha will be playing a Police officer in the movie, which is said to be a complete action-thriller.

Nyla Usha is sharing screen with Mammootty for the third time in her career. The actress, who is a popular Radio Jockey in Dubai, made her acting debut with Salim Ahamed directed acclaimed movie Kunjananthante Kada, opposite Mammootty. She paired up with Mammootty for the second time, in Aashiq Abu directed Gangster.

Andrea Jeremiah, the popular actress who has also proved her mettle as a playback singer and dubbing artist, made her Malayalam movie debut with acclaimed movie Annayum Rasoolum, directed by National Award winning director Rajeev Ravi, opposite Fahadh Faasil. Reportedly, Andrea backed out from Fireman, due to her busy schedule.

Fireman revolves around the hurdles faced by a fire-fighter, during the execution of an important rescue mission. Deepu Karunakaran himself pens the script for the movie. Salim Kumar will essay a pivotal role in the movie, produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner Galaxy Films. Fireman is slated to release for Christmas. Filming of the movie is progressing in the various locations of Palakkad.
