set
to
assist
Jeethu
Joseph
in
the
Tamil
remake
of
Drishyam,
titled
Paapanasham.
The
star
kid
is
keen
to
learn
the
basics
of
film
making
and
have
no
intentions
to
try
a
hand
in
acting
at
present.
Pranav
Mohanlal
debuted
in
the
movies
as
a
child
arist,
with
the
movie
Onnaman,
directed
by
Thampi
Kannamthanam.
He
played
the
childhood
of
the
central
character
Ravishankar,
played
by
his
father
Mohanlal.
Pranav
has
won
the
Best
Child
Artist
award
in
the
Kerala
State
Film
Awards
of
2002,
for
his
performance
in
the
movie
Punarjani,
directed
by
Major
Ravi.
He
has
also
appeared
in
a
cameo
role
in
Mohanlal
starrer
Sagar
Alias
Jackie
Reloaded,
in
2009.
Earlier,
it
was
rumoured
that
Pranav
will
be
making
his
debut
in
lead
roles
soon.
But
Mohanlal
cleared
the
rumours
by
stating
that
Pranav
is
not
planning
act
in
near
future.
It
was
also
reported
that
Pranav
will
be
making
his
debut
with
Mani
Ratnam
movie;
but
the
news
later
revealed
to
be
false.
Paapanasham
will
star
Kamal
Hassan
and
Gauthami
in
the
lead
roles.
Asha
Sharath,
Niveda
Thomas
and
Kalabhavan
Mani
will
play
the
other
pivotal
roles
in
the
movie.
Paapanasham
is
produced
by
Mohanlal’s
brother-in-law,
Suresh
Balaji.
The
filming
is
progressing
at
various
locations
of
Tamil
Nadu.
