Priyadarshan To Direct Surya?

Priyadarshan is going through a tough phase of his career. His films in Bollywood and Malayalam have failed to keep the cash registers ringing. But it appears like those failures have little impact on him as the director has big plans. Well, he has decided to direct a movie starring Tamil actor Surya.

Rumours are rife that Priyadarshan is planning to work with Surya. The movie is said to be simultaneously made in multiple languages keeping the actor's fan base in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh in mind.

Reports suggest that Surya's film will be made with a mega budget. Other details about the project are not available at this stage. But some say that it will be a straight Tamil movie and it will be not shot in Malayalam. The last movie that Priyadarshan directed was Kanchivaram starring Prakash Raj and it had won National Award.

Meanwhile, Priyadarshan is also planning to make a Malayalam movie with Fahad Fazil. This project will begin first as Surya is busy with his own projects in Kollywood. The Ghajini actor's forthcoming movies are Lingusamy directorial Anjaan, which will release for Independence Day, and a film with Venkat Prabhu of Mankatha fame.
