Writers
duo
Rafi
and
Mecartin
had
parted
ways
in
2012
after
delivering
several
hit
films.
They
had
taken
separate
ways,
as
they
wanted
a
break.
Now,
they
are
joining
hands
again.
Rafi
and
Mecartin
had
given
hit
movies
like
Puthukkottayile
Puthumanavalan,
Punjabi
House,
Thenkashippattanam
and
Chathikatha
Chanthu
in
the
past.
The
writers
had
worked
together
for
two
decades
until
they
decided
to
take
separate
routes.
Now,
the
time
is
set
for
their
reunion.
Their
forthcoming
movie
is
a
comedy
family
entertainer.
There
were
reports
that
they
were
teaming
up
for
the
movie
directed
by
Fazal.
But
now
sources
say
that
it
is
for
a
different
director.
The
cast
and
crew
are
yet
to
be
finalised
for
the
Malayalam
flick.
Meanwhile,
the
duo
is
planning
for
a
sequel
to
their
blockbuster
movie
Punjabi
House,
which
starred
Dileep.
Rafi
claims
that
they
had
planned
the
second
instalment
long
ago
but
it
could
not
be
materialised
for
some
reasons.
"We
had
planned
the
sequel
long
ago
but
nothing
worked
out
then," the
Times
of
India
quotes
Rafi
as
saying.
