Ranjini Haridas' Movie Otta Oruthiyum Shariyalla Banned!

Ranjini Haridas, as we all know, is playing the female lead in the upcoming movie Otta Oruthiyum Shariyalla. The movie, which apparently evoked a lot of controversies owing to its title, has been finally banned by the Alappuzha District Court!

The court has banned the movie from getting released. The film was slated to get released on February 14, the Valentines Day. The court has taken such a decision with regard to a complaint filed by a woman citizen, claiming that the title of the movie has degrading the whole women in the society.

Ranjini essays the role of a sales girl Kayal in this movie. She comes from Bangalore to Thiruvananthapuram for her job. The movie deals with the ill doings of women, which are unnoticed by the society.

Kalabhavan Mani is also seen in the film. Otta Oruthiyum Shariyalla is centered upon the life of Mathew, a taxi driver, who hates women. The movie keeps on tracking the reasons for his hatred towards women. Praveen, a budding actor, who was seen in Nee Ko Nja Cha, will don the role of Mathew. Even though the story stands by the side of men, it is not a film that speak against women.

The rest of the cast also include Gireesh Parameshwaran, Sathar, Nobi, Abhi, Mariya and Shobha in pivotal roles.
