7 Malayalam Movies Enter Indian Panorama 2014

Drishyam, Munnariyippu, Njaan, North 24 Kaatham, 1983, Swapaanam and Njan Steve Lopez entered the Indian Panorama of 45th Indian International Film Festival. The film festival will be conducted from 20th to 30th of November at Goa.

Drishyam, directed by Jeethu Joseph was a huge critical and commercial success. The movie emerged as one of the highest ever grossers of Mollywood. Munnariyippu, directed by Venu was a comeback for Mammootty, who was getting stereotyped with the masala movies.

North 24 Kaatham, directed by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon, was a critical and commercial success and the movie had won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam. Fahadh Faasil, the lead actor of the movie had won The Best Actor award in various Award Ceremonies, for his performance.

1983, directed by Abride Shine was one of the biggest of the year and had earned rave critical reviews. Njaan, directed by Ranjith, was a complete breakthrough for lead actor Dulquer Salmaan, who appeared in dual role in the movie and was well-praised as a brave movie attempt.

Swapaanam, directed by Shaji N Karun is considered as one of the best movies of the lead actor Jayaram's career. The movie earned rave reviews as well as created controversies. Njan Steve Lopez, directed by Rajeev Ravi is an experimental movie which had completely newcomers in its star cast.

North 24 Kaatham, directed by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon, was a critical and commercial success and the movie had won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam. Fahadh Faasil, the lead actor of the movie had won The Best Actor award in various Award Ceremonies, for his performance as an OCD patient.

Njaan, directed by Ranjith, was a complete breakthrough for lead actor Dulquer Salmaan and was well-praised as a brave movie attempt. Dulquer portrayed dual roles in the movie, which is based on T P Rajeevan's acclaimed novel KTN Kottur: Ezhuthum Jeevithavum.

Njan Steve Lopez, directed by Rajeev Ravi is an experimental movie which had completely newcomers in its star cast. The movie earned rave reviews from audience and critics. Farhaan Fazil, younger son of veteran director Fazil and Ahaana Krishna, the eldest daughter of actor Krishnakumar played the lead roles in the movie.
