Actress-Dancer
Shamna
Kasim
is
all
set
to
start
her
own
dance
school,
in
her
hometown
Kannur.
The
actress
revealed
her
plans
in
a
recent
interview.
Shamna,
who
is
immensely
passionate
about
dancing,
says
that
she
is
all
excited
about
her
new
project,
as
it
was
a
dream
of
her
from
the
childhood
days
itself.
Shamna
Kasim
was
the
runner
up
of
popular
dance
reality
show
Vodafone
Thakadhimi,
which
was
aired
in
Asianet.
The
reality
show
paved
her
way
to
movies.
But
the
actress
couldn't
make
it
big
in
the
movies
and
eventually
got
stereotyped
with
character
roles.
Shamna
made
a
comeback
into
lead
roles
with
Chattakkari,
the
remake
of
the
yesteryear
super
hit
of
the
same
name.
The
actress
reprised
the
role
played
by
veteran
actress
Lakshmi
in
the
original
and
went
through
a
complete
image
makeover
for
the
movie.
But
the
movie
emerged
as
a
box
office
failure
and
earned
negative
reviews
from
both
audience
and
critics.
Shamna
Kasim
turned
an
item
dancer
for
the
recent
released
Mammootty
starrer
Rajadhi
Raja.
She
shared
screen
with
Mammootty,
Raai
Lakshmi
and
Shaktimaan
fame
Mukesh
Khanna
in
the
song
sequence.
The
actress
is
also
highly
active
in
the
field
of
dance
with
stage
shows
and
reality
shows.
Shamna
will
be
next
seen
in
Rajesh
Pillai's
Mili,
along
with
Amala
Paul
and
Nivin
Pauly.
