Shamna Kasim Turns Item Dancer!

Shamna Kasim, the dancer turned actress, is all set to perform an item number in the upcoming Mammootty starrer Rajadhi Raja. The actress, who made her acting debut with Manju Poloru Penkutti, directed by Kamal, has already shared screenspace with Mammootty in the 2006 comedy, Bhargava Charitham Moonnam Khandam.

Shamna, who is a trained dancer, entered the mini screen with a dance reality show conducted by a famous Malayalam TV channel. She was the 2^nd runner up of the reality show. The mini screen dance performances paved the way for her to enter the lime light.

Shamna has acted in many Malayalam and Tamil films and a couple of Kannada and Telugu movies. She reprised the role done by Bhavana in movie Chinthamani Kolacase, in its Telugu remake Sri Mahalakshmi. She has shared screenspace with Mohanlal in the movies Flash and College Kumaran. She is also a model and has featured in several famous advertisements including Airtel ads. She is playing an important role in the upcoming movie Mili, directed by Rajesh Pillai.

Rajadhi Raja is directed by new comer Ajay Vasudev. Mammootty plays the protagonist and Mukesh Khanna plays antagonist in the movie. Raai Lakshmi plays the female lead. Unni Mukundan will play a cameo role. It is also rumoured that Unni Mukundan and Shamna Kasim will share screen in the item number.
