Unni Mukundan is all set to team up with his favourite star Mammootty, in the upcoming movie Fireman, directed by Deepu Karunakaran. The young actor, who is a die-hard fan of Mammootty, shared his happiness and excitement on sharing screen with the actor he admires the most, through his official Facebook page.
Unni Mukundan made his acting debut with Mammootty starrer Bombay March 12, directed by Babu Janardhanan. The actor considers himself as lucky, to make his acting debut with a prominent role in a Mammootty starrer flick. Unni shared screen with Mammootty for the second time in the recently released Rajadhi Raja, in which he appeared in a cameo role.
Unni Mukundan has also shared screen with Dulquer Salmaan, in lal Jose directed Vikramadithyan. Unni essayed one of the title roles Vikraman, while Dulquer Salmaan played Adithyan. The movie emerged as a huge commercial success and is considered as a turning point in Unni Mukundan's career.
The actor is currently going through a low phase in his career, as the release of his ambitious project Samrajyam 2 is delayed and his recently announced project Enthoru Bhagyam is reportedly shelved due to unknown reasons.
Fireman, is an out-and-out action thriller, which revolves around a rescue mission. Mammootty will essay the role of a firefighter. Nyla Usha, the female lead, will play a police officer in the movie. Reportedly, there is no heroine for Mammootty in the movie. Fireman is produced by Milan Jaleel, under the banner Galaxy Films.
