Varsham Gets A Clean U Certificate
Varsham, the upcoming Mammootty starrer bagged a clean U Certificate from censor board. The movie, which is said to be a clean family entertainer, is all set to be released on November 6th. Varsham is directed by Ranjith Sankar and produced by himself along with Mammootty, under the banners Playhouse Motion Pictures and Dreams & Beyond.
Expectations are riding high on Varsham after the release of the impressive trailer and songs. The audio release of the movie made headlines; as it was held in a very different way. The first song was released on Whatsapp; while the second song got released by Mammootty and the other cast and crew members, along with 10 selected kids.
Varsham revolves around Venu, an NRI who shifts back to his hometown, to settle with his family and the unexpected incidents faced by him. Mammootty plays Venu. Asha Sarath and Master Nabeesh essays Venu's wife Nandini and son Anand respectively. Popular actor TG Ravi will make a comeback into antagonist role with the movie. The actor will play Manavalan Peter, the business rival of Venu.
Mamta Mohandas plays a pivotal role in the movie. Govind Padmasurya, Hareesh Perady, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Irshad, Sudheer Karamana, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Sajitha Madathil, Sarayu, Anjana and Sreelatha Namboothiri will essay the supporting roles. Varsham is penned by Ranjith Sankar himself. Manoj Pillai is the director of photography and Sagar Das is the editor. Bijibal composes the songs and background score.
