The young actor-directors of Malayalam cinema, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese and Jude Anthany Joseph, harshly reacted against the popular cinematographer-director Rajeev Ravi, for his controversial remarks about actor-scenarist Sreenivasan, through their respective Facebook pages.
In a recent interview, Rajeev Ravi has stated that he has zero admiration for Sreenivasan and his movies. He remarked that he always wanted to burn the scripts of such movies. Rajeev also added that he doesn't believe in the movie making method, which is completely based on a well bound script.
The statements made by Rajeev stirred up controversies and he has been receiving huge criticisms from the media and audience, for insulting the veteran writer-actor. Interestingly, Rajeev Ravi has also made controversial remarks on veteran film makers Mani Ratnam and Tarantino.
Vineeth Sreenivasan, who addressed himself as Son Of Sreenivasan, reacted to the comments made by Rajeev Ravi in a funny yet serious manner. The young actor-director says that he would like to learn the method of movie making without a proper script.
Dhyan Sreenivasan, the younger son of Sreenivasan, reacted to Rajeev's comments in a more serious way. The young actor admits that he is not a big shot in movie industry; but have the rights to react against the people who insult his father. Dhyan also proclaims that he is a hardcore fan of Mani Ratnam, Tarantino and Sreenivasan.
Nivin Pauly expressed his take on the issue by changing the cover pic of his official Facebook page, with a title card which shows “Written and Directed By Sreenivasan”. Aju Varghese and Jude Anthany Joseph reacted through Facebook posts without mentioning the name of Rajeev Ravi.
