The
44th
Kerala
State
Film
Awards
was
announced
on
last
Saturday
and
all
eyes
were
set
as
to
who
will
win
the
Best
Actor
Award.
As
per
the
reports
then,
Suraj
Venjaramoodu,
who
won
the
National
Award
for
Best
Actor
then
and
Jayaram
were
in
the
last
race.
But,
when
the
result
came
the
same
was
bagged
by
two
other
actors.
Suraj
got
the
Best
Comedian
award
while,
Jayaram
did
not
get
any!
Now,
a
lot
of
questions
arrived
then
as
to
why
Suraj
was
denied
the
Best
Actor
award.
There
were
even
reports
that
the
actor
was
nominated
in
the
last
minute,
after
he
won
the
National
Award.
But,
now,
one
of
the
jury
member
Soorya
Krishnamurthy
has
come
forward
with
a
reason
on
why
Jayaram
was
denied
the
award
in
the
last
run.
According
to
Soorya,
he
claims
Jayaram
has
rendered
an
outdated
performance
in
both
his
nominated
movies
Nadan
and
Swapaanam.
A
lot
of
dramatic
feelings
have
been
showcased
in
Jayaram's
acting
in
both
the
movies
and
that
is
the
reason
why
Jayaram
was
denied
the
Best
Actor
Award
this
time,
said
the
jury
member.
Now,
after
the
announcement
of
the
award,
Jayaram
expressed
his
unhappiness
to
the
media.
He
said
that
there
had
many
such
incidents
were
people
had
forced
him
to
buy
sweets
as
he
had
been
nominated
in
the
list
of
awards
and
was
more
likely
to
bag
it
too.
But,
when
the
result
came,
he
got
nothing!
