Anoop Menon Teams Up With Mohanlal In Kanal

Anoop Menon the talented actor-writer is all set to team up with Mohanlal, in the upcoming movie Kanal, directed by Padmakumar. Anoop will essay one of the lead roles in the movie; which was earlier offered to Prithviraj.

The actor-writer himself revealed the news through a recent Facebook post. Anoop states that he immediately decided to sign the project after listening to the script, as it looks extremely promising.

According to Anoop Menon, who is a self-confessed die hard Mohanlal fan, the character played by Mohanlal in the movie will portray the actor as a character, which his fans are waiting to see for a long time.

It is for the first time, Anoop Menon is playing a full-length character with Mohanlal in a movie. The duo has earlier shared screen in the movies Grandmaster, Pranayam, Rock N Roll etc, in which Anoop appeared in small roles.

Anoop made his screenwriting debut with Pakal Nakshathrangal in 2008. The movie, directed by Rajeev Nath, has Mohanlal in the central role. The movie has earned huge critical acclaims but was bombed at box office.

Kanal, which is said to be a revenge drama, is penned by Suresh Babu. Honey Rose and She Taxi fame Sheelu Abraham will essay the female leads in the movie. Kanal will start rolling from the second week of May in Dubai.
