Anwar Rasheed, the director-producer has decided to leave FEFKA and Film Producers Association. Anwar announced his decision in the recent interview given to SouthLive. He feels that the associations are almost non-functional.

He states that FEFKA and Film Producers Association have been a maintaining a cold attitude towards the piracy issues. The pirated videos and DVDs of Anwar Rasheed's latest production venture Premam has been doing rounds since last few weeks.

The filmmaker is completely disappointed with the issue and feels that the anti-piracy cell is dysfunctional. Anwar revealed he has given the details of the shops which sells the DVDs to the authorities; but no action has been taken on the issue.

He alleges that the piracy officers responded to his request, stating that they are too busy with other works. Later he informed the situation to the FEFKA and producers association authorities; but they failed to make a stand on the issue.

Anwar also points out that the pirated video is the censored copy of the film. He states that the censored copy was only available in two popular studios of Chennai and Trivandrum, which are under the ownership of two popular Mollywood celebrities.

The director confirmed that the Premam team will fight against the piracy, as it is one of the major threat faced by the movie industry. Anwar also added that he will be active in films, without the membership of any associations.
