Asif Ali To Lead Kerala Strikers
Asif Ali will replace Rajeev Pillai as the Captain of Kerala Strikers. As per the latest reports, Asif will lead Kerala Strikers in the Celebrity Cricket League Season 5. The team is yet to announce the names of the rest of the team members.
The team has started practicing for the match from January 6th. CCL matches will start on January 10th. Reportedly, Kerala Strikers will lock horns with Bengal Tigers in the first match, which will be held on January 11th. As of now, no match will be held at Kochi International Stadium.
It is a huge responsibility for Asif Ali to lead the team as the new captain, as the team is going through tough times. Asif has earlier been a part of the team; but is entering the field as an active player, for the first time.
If the rumors are to be true, most of popular stars including Mohanlal, Indrajith and Nivin Pauly, won't be active in CCL season 5.
Mohanlal, the co-owner cum ex-captain of Kerala Strikers, has walked out form the team due to his disappointment upon Priyadarshan-Lissy divorce. Lissy, the co-owner of the team, has separated from husband Priyadarshan and already filed for divorce at Chennai family court.
