Bala-Amrutha Suresh Divorce: What Is The Current Status?

Bala and Amrutha Suresh, the popular actor-singer couple was heading towards a divorce, as per the reports from last June. But there have been no updates are available since then, as the couple chose not to talk about it.

In the recent interview given to Mangalam daily, Bala refused to talk about Amrutha and preferred to discuss only his career and parents. This has raised the eyebrows, as the couple was rumoured to be trying for a reconciliation.

According to the sources, Bala is still not ready to give a second chance to Amrutha; while she still hopes that things can be sorted out. The parents and friends are trying hard to clear the differences between the couple.

The divorce rumours started doing rounds in last June; but Amrutha immediately bashed the reports through her Facebook page. But later, Bala confirmed that he is planning to get divorced; to the much shock of the fans and media.

Amrutha still rubbished the rumours stating that Bala's statements are purely based on some misunderstandings. But Bala, who was in Chennai at that time, confirmed that he will file for divorce soon after he comes back to Kerala.

Reportedly, the relationship soured after Amrutha formed her music band Amrutham Gamaya. Even though Bala was highly supportive for Amrutha's career, she shifted back to her parent's house stating various reasons.

According to Bala's close friends, the issues between the couple is not simple, as Amrutha claims. The actor has only met their daughter Avanthika, hardly 5 or 6 times in last few months and he is currently living alone.

Rumour mills suggest that Bala is extremely disappointed about his daughter staying away from him and his family. He has also displeasure over Amrutha's ignorance towards his family members. However, the reports are not confirmed yet.

Bala and Amrutha Suresh fell in love during the filming of one of his movies, in which Amrutha's younger sister Abhirami appeared as a child artist.

Earlier, Bala had appeared as the celebrity judge, in a few episodes of Idea Star Singer reality show, in which Amrutha was one of the contestants.

Amrutha was a plus two student when the couple fell in love. They tied the knot in August 2007, immediately after she turned 18. It was a bit shocking for the audiences.

Amrutha Suresh was active in the field of singing even after the marriage; while Bala's also made his own place in the Mollywood. Both of them were highly supportive for each others' careers.

Daughter Avanthika

Bala and Amrutha are blessed with a baby daughter named Avanthika, who was born in November 2012. She is currently living with her mother.

Dream Home

The couple shifted to their new home last year; following Amrutha's re-entry into the singing field post her delivery break. Things were going smoothly till May 2015.
