Balachandra
Menon,
the
veteran
actor-director,
is
all
set
to
venture
back
into
filmmaking
soon.
Menon
himself
revealed
the
new
through
a
post
in
his
official
Facebook
page.
He
has
been
staying
away
from
the
industry
since
last
few
years.
The
title
of
the
project,
cast
and
the
other
details
are
yet
to
be
revealed.
The
director
says
that
he
wants
to
make
a
film,
which
will
bring
the
audience
back
to
theatres;
despite
increased
ticket
rates.
The
National
award
winning
actor
says
that
he
is
extremely
keen
to
bounce
back
with
a
new
project.
Balachandra
Menon
has
made
a
comeback
into
acting
with
Raj
Prabhavathi
Menon's
Buddy,
which
has
Anoop
Menon
in
the
lead
role.
He
has
also
appeared
in
Ranjith's
Mammootty
starrer
Kadal
Kadannu
Oru
Mathukutty,
in
a
prominent
role.
But
both
the
movie
failed
to
impress
the
audience
and
critics;
and
were
declared
as
flops.
Balachandra
Menon's
last
directorial
venture
was
Dhe
Ingottu
Nokkiye,
which
has
Jayasurya
and
Jagathi
Sreekumar.
The
film
faced
lots
of
problems
in
the
making
stage,
due
to
the
sudden
demise
of
Bharath
Gopi,
who
had
a
pivotal
role
in
the
film.
Dhe
Ingottu
Nokkiye
opened
into
highly
negative
reviews
and
miserably
failed
at
box
office.
Balachandra
Menon
has
also
been
active
in
the
acting
field
at
the
same
time,
with
some
exceptional
movies,
including
Lal
Jose's
blockbuster
Classmates.
