Dulquer Salmaan starrer Charlie has alreay entered the blockbuster league of 2015. Interestingly, Charlie broke the first day collection records of Mohanlal starrer Loham; thus emerging as the Malayalam movie with highest ever initial collection.

As per the sources, Charlie made a whopping collection of 2.25 Crores at the first day of release,from the Kerala box office. Loham, the formed record-holding movie, had collected 2.14 Crores at the first day of release.

The second collection was also highly impressive for Charlie. Despite being a festival day, the movie collected 2.31 Crores on December 25th, the second day of its release. The outside Kerala collections are yet to be calculated.

According to the trade analysts, the movie which is directed by Martin Prakkat is a sure blockbuster. Charlie, which has been receiving excellent reports from the releasing centres, is expected to emerge the top 5 highest grossers list.

The movie, which stars Parvathy in the female lead, has been highly appreciated by both the audience and critics. Charlie is considered as the best movie and performance in Dulquer Salmaan's career, till date.
