Dr Biju Against Manju Warrier And Malayala Manorama

Dr Biju, the National award winning director harshly criticized Malayala Manorama daily for giving the Newsmaker award to Manju Warrier, through his official Facebook page. Dr Biju feels that Manju Warrier does not deserves the award and the result was biased.

The director called the award function as "the biggest comedy of the year". Dr Biju points out that some big shots from the various fields of society were also included in the final nomination list. But the daily chose to select the least deserving Manju Warrier for the award, just for the sake of publicity.

Dr Biju also expressed his disappointment over the Newsmaker nominations of 2014, for not including National award winner Suraj Venjarammoodu in the list. Biju says that Suraj is one of the top achievers of the year; but the actor was not even included in the polls conducted by the daily.

On the other hand, the sources related to Manju Warrier and Malayala Manorama daily says that Newsmaker title is has been exclusively given to the celebrities who makes a stir in the society by making headlines frequently. The award is not given in the basis of any achievements. Both Manju Warrier and Malayala Manorama management hasn't replied to Dr Biju's criticisms yet.
