Dulquer Salmaan: The Current Heartthrob

Dulquer Salmaan, the young actor of M'town, is the current heartthrob of the season. Apart from the the Malayalam movie industry, Dulquer Salmaan has also managed to fetch a huge fan following in the Tamil movie industry as well.

The recently released first trailer of Mani Ratnam directed Dulquer Salmaan-Nithya Menen starrer O Kadhal Kanmani has crossed 1 million views in YouTube. The trailer has broken the record set by trailer of Kamal Haasan's upcoming movie Uthama Villain.

It is a dream-come-true opportunity for Dulquer Salmaan, who is an adamant fan of Mani Ratnam and his movies. The movie, which is said to be an out-and-out love story, will also mark Dulquer's third association with Nithya Menen.

Nithya Menen has earlier paired up with Dulquer in popular movie Usthad Hotel. The duo will also pair up in the upcoming Malayalam flick, 100 Days Of Love directed by Jenuse Mohammed. The movie is expected to hit the theatres in March.

O Kadhal Kanmani, which marks the association of the Mani Ratnam-AR Rahman-PC Sreeram trio after a long gap. Even though AR Rahman has been associating with Mani Ratnam for all the projects; cinematographer PC Sreeram is joining the team after a gap of 15 years.

The trio last joined hands for the blockbuster movie Alaipayuthey, which had Madhavan and Shalini in the lead roles. O Kadhal Kanmani is penned by Mani Ratnam himself. Sreekar Prasad handles the editing. The movie is produced by Mani Ratnam himself under the banner Madras Talkies.
