Sources suggest that Kamaladalam is the last film, for which Mohanlal acted with his real hair. He has acted with a bald head in Blessy's Pranayam. But the actor says it was not his original look.

Mohanlal also stated that he is willing to experiment with getups and ready to act nude again if the screenplay demands that. Such offers will be accepted on the basis of how exciting the character is.

The actor, on the other hand, has always been criticized by the critics and popular filmmakers including Sreenivasan, for his unwillingness to experiment with the characters, new getups and new themes.

But despite the criticisms, Mohanlal always likes to play safe when it comes to the roles he picks. The actor is extremely particular about the comfort level he shares with his character and the screenplay of a film.
