In Photos: Muktha George-Rinku Tomy Wedding
Muktha George, the popular actress and Rinku Tomy, the event planner who is also the younger brother of singer-television host Rimi Tomy, entered the wedlock yesterday (August 31st). The traditional wedding ceremony was held at St. George Church, Edappally, Kochi.
The wedding ceremony was completely different from the modern day Malayali Christian weddings. Interestingly, the bride and groom looked like yesteryear Christian couple, to the much surprise of the guests. Muktha looked absolutely gorgeous in the traditional 'Chattayum Muttum'.
Her bridal look was complemented by the traditional Malayali ornaments like mullmottu mala, meykka mothiram, and kuda kadukkan. Muktha's bridal bouquet was another attraction of the wedding. Unlike the usual Christian brides, she was carrying a flower bouquet, which was made of lotus flowers.
For the post-wedding reception, Muktha dazzled in a dark peach Kanjeevaram sari, which was teamed up with a designer blouse and traditional gold ornaments. Interestingly, the actress opted for a Hindu bride get-up, for the reception. Rinku was seen in a white suit and red tie.
Muktha and Rinku entered the wedding hall along with traditional 'Margam Kali' dancers. The wedding and the post-wedding reception was attended by the popular celebrities of Malayalam movie industry, including Mammootty, Dileep, Lal Jose, Kavya Madhavan, Navya Nair, Bhama etc.
