GOOD NEWS: Innocent Recovers From Cancer

By Akhila Menon

Innocent, the actor turned Member of Parliament, has finally recovered from cancer. Innocent was diagnosed with cancer for the second time, in August 2015. He was under the treatment at AIIMS, Delhi.

Sonnet, the actor's only son, announced the good news through his Facebook page recently. The latest scanning report suggests that there are absolutely no traces of cancer cells in Innocent's body, to the much relief of his family and well-wishers.

The actor returned home a few days back but visited the hospital yesterday (December 16th) for the final scan. The doctors have confirmed that Innocent has completely recovered from cancer, after analysing the final test reports.

Innocent was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2012. For the first time, a cancerous growth was found in his throat. But the actor recovered completely after a long treatment under the popular oncologist Dr. PV Gangadharan.

But the second time, the cancerous growth was diagnosed below his ear. If the reports are to be true, Innocent has underwent about 3 chemotherapy sessions, at an interval of three weeks. He completed the filming for Mohanlal's Kanal, during the process.
