Kamalinee Mukherjee As Mohanlal's Heroine In Puli Murugan

Kamalinee Mukherjee, the popular actress, will play the female lead opposite Mohanlal, in the upcoming movie Puli Murugan. The movie, which is said to be a mass entertainer is directed by Vysakh.

Mohanlal and Kamalinee are sharing the screen for the first time in their careers. More details regarding Kamalinee's character in Puli Murugan will be revealed soon. Mohanlal is playing the title character Murugan.

Kamalinee, who is one of the most sought after actresses of Southern industry, made her Malayalam movie debut with Shaji N Karun directed Kutty Srank, in which she played the female lead opposite Mammootty.

She later appeared in the Fahadh Faasil starrer movie, Netholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla, directed by VK Prakash. Kamalinee garnered highly positive reviews for her portrayal of the character Prabha Thomas, a headstrong young woman.

The actress last appeared in Vysakh directed multi-starrer movie Cousins, in which she appeared in an item number. She has always expressed her huge admiration for Mollywood and stated that she wants work in Malayalam films.

The filming of the movie is progressing at the various locations of Ernakulam. The team is highly particular about maintaining the details of the movie under wraps. The movie is expected to be released for Christmas.
