Kunchacko Boban and Rima Kallingal had a narrow escape from a boat accident, during the filming of the upcoming movie Chirakodinja Kinavukal. The team was filming a song sequence in Alappuzha.

Rima Kallingal and Kunchacko Boban were in a special boat for the song shooting; with the crew members and security team following them. The boat suddenly sank due to the excess weight.

The actors were immediately saved by the security team and local people. Rima has posted the video if the incident in her official Facebook page; with a special note thanking the crew members, security team and localites.

Chirakodinja Kinavukal is inspired from the funny subplot of popular movie Azhakiya Ravanan; in which, Sreenivasan's character tailor Ambujakshan narrates his novel Chirakodinja Kinavukal, to Mammootty's character Shankar Das.

In Chirakodinja Kinavukal, Sreenivasan will reprise his role tailor Ambujakshan, who tries to make a movie out of his novel. Kunchacko Boban and Rima will play the actors, who are the central roles in Ambujakshan's movie.

The filming of the movie is progressing at various locations of Idukki and Alappuzha. Chirakodinja Kinavukal is written by S Praveen. Vaidy DFT handles the cinematography. The movie is produced by Listin Stephen, under the banner Magic Frames.
