Lailaa O Lailaa On April 30?

Lailaa O Lailaa, the much awaited Mohanlal starrer, directed by Joshiy is reportedly slated to release for April 30th. According to the sources related to the movie, the crew is planning to release the movie by the end of April.

The highly anticipated movie will have Amala Paul, playing the female lead opposite Mohanlal. Lailaa O Lailaa, which was initially planned in the year 2013, started filming by August 2014, after delaying for multiple times.

It was also rumoured that the project is shelved, due to the creative differences between scenarist Suresh Nair and director Joshiy. Later, Mohanlal himself had confirmed that the project is very much on pipeline.

The team actually planned to release the movie for Christmas 2014. Later, it was reported that Lailaa O Lailaa will hit the theatres for Vishu. But the lag in the shooting schedules and Mohanlal's further commitments affected the release.

Lailaa O Lailaa is one of the very rare Malayalam movies, which experienced such a great delay in the filming and release. Most of the Mollywood flicks will complete the filming within 60-90 days. But Lailaa O Lailaa completed the filming in a time span of 7 months, in 3 schedules.

The filming of the movie has completed in Hampi, last week. Sathyaraj, Rahul dev, Joy Mathew, Ashvin Mathew, Vijay Menon, Kiran Raj, Kainat Arora etc will play the other pivotal roles. Remya Nambeesan will appear in a cameo role.

S Lokanathan handles the cinematography and Shyam Sasidharan handles the editing. Gopi Sundar composes the music. Lailaa O Lailaa is produced by Santhosh Kottayi, Bijou Antony and Preeta Nair under the banner Finecut Entertainments.
