Highlights Of Last Week: Bhaskar The Rascal Releases, Double Barrel First Teaser Is Out And More

The third week of April (13-19), was a highly eventful week for Malayalam movie industry. Mollywood witnessed a highly anticipated movie release, some much-awaited teaser and trailer releases, some shocking revelations in the third week of April.

This Vishu season was extremely favourable for the Malayalam movie industry. M'town had few commercially successful movie releases in April, which acted as a strong support for the industry, which has been going through a critical financial crisis.

Bhaskar The Rascal was the only release for Malayalam movie industry in last week. The movie hit the theatres on April 16th, Vishu day. As per the reports, the movie is doing extremely well at box office and has collected 3 crores gross collection within the first two days.

Apart from the high profile releases, Mollywood also had the highly anticipated teaser and trailer released last week. The first look teaser of the much awaited multi-starrer flick Double Barrel is out. The movie is directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery.

Prithviraj, Arya, Indrajith, Asif Ali and Sunny Wayne plays the lead roles in the movie. Interestingly, Double Barrel is the first Malayalam production venture of Arya, who recently joined the production banner August Banner, along with Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan and Shaji Nadesan.

Another exciting development of last week was the official trailer release of the highly anticipated Mohanlal starrer movie, Lailaa O Lailaa. The movie, directed by Joshiy, stars Amala Paul in the female lead and Sathyaraj in a pivotal role. The trailer hints that the movie will be a complete entertainment package.
